Summary of week 6

Once again I had a full week.  Spanish classes in the mornings, two evenings this week we went to practice music at church, three afternoons I took a taxi to the kids school to pick them up, went to the mall several times for different things, as well as went on two tours with my spanish school.  So I will elaborate a bit more on each of these....

     1.  Spanish school...  Went well this week!  I have been learning so much.  It was evident to me the other day when I answered the home phone while my Aunt and Uncle were away.  The lady was a talker (we talked for over five minutes)...and I understood her reason for calling, answered her question, and relayed to her that Bethie (whom she was calling for) was not home.  So this was an encouragement!  I had a surprise test on Friday...and passed!  Thank you God!

  2.  We are preparing to have Christmas services (called Novenas) from December 16-25.  And therefore we have been practicing the music for these services, every Tuesday evening.  Our ´worship´team practice is on Thursday evenings.  So this has been a fun time for me.

     3.  Bethie and Ricardo have been really busy in the remodeling process at the church and have been working late as much as they are able, to finish the project.  This is the reason I have been required to pick the kids up from school so often.  Pretty funny thing happened the other day on our way home... we were headed home and the driver suddenly breaks... making a screeching sound.  Jonathan´s response: ´Cool! It sounds like a wreck.´ Yeah, well...

This is a mall in the shape of a snails shell...so it goes around in a spiral.  Very different!

   4.  The mall here is just as crazy as the ones in the states... however the only difference that I have found is the fast food.  Here fast food simply means that it is cheap and greasy...not at all quick.  Just a fact for you all.

The vineyard of Cousiño Macul...

  5.  Tours...  first we went to the largest oldest cemetery here in Santiago.  It was incredible!!  Very interesting... however I wasn´t planning on going on a tour and left my camera at home that day.  Bummer.  So if I do acquire photos from others who were able to go... I will be sure and share them because it really was very neat!  The second spot to tour was the winery here in Peñalolen (the comuna where we live.).  It was interesting however not a must see in my book since I don´t really like the whole wine drinking idea.  It was pretty though!

The above is a brief summary of the happenings of this past week.  Just been a bit busy.  :)

Please continue to pray for me, that I would be a light to all those I come in contact with.  Thank you all.

I realize that you all probably enjoy seeing the pictures more than reading...however I regret to inform you that I have been very slack in taking photos since I started Spanish classes.  Just don´t have enough time in the day I guess!  But here are a few any way.

Hello from Santiago!
