I just realized that it has been nearly a week since my last update...so
I decided it might be a good idea to write a post about what has been
going on the past week before I begin my Spanish class tomorrow and
my free time taken.
Renovation work at 'Casa Grande'
' |
| Our sanding attire... |
So, what have I done this week that I can report? Not
a whole lot of excitement here...however we have been keeping pretty busy. Our
time has been swallowed with the renovation process at the church in
which I have learned how to do several different building jobs. I've
perfected my sanding technique on both wood and drywall, as well as
learned how to evenly stain wooden windows, sound booth, etc. It has
been a time consuming necessary process, but also kinda fun! I have enjoyed working alongside my Aunt Beth. She makes a good slave driver...
 |
| It may appear that I am supervising in the above picture but really I'm taking a break/holding the cord to the electric sander so that Aunt Bethie wouldn't trip and fall from the scaffolding. |
Fun at 'el Parque'
 |
| The roses were gorgeous... |
Yesterday (Saturday), we headed to the park to enjoy the out of doors
as well as see some more new scenery for me. It was a neat park... with
many climbing toys and lots of children. There were beautiful roses,
fountains, trellises, etc. This is just a little glimpse of the amazing park area. The landscaping was just beautiful! |
| Just one more photo please! |
 |
| Jonathan takes a dive...not so sure that was safe. Thankfully it was just a pose! |
 |
| This is just half (maybe not even) of the play equipment. Incredible park...looked like a bunch of fun! Had it not been so busy I might just have returned to being a kid and played on it! |
 |
| This swing thing looked like a lot of fun! Jonathan told us it was so scary but I didn't get scared...now how does that work? |
So tomorrow will be the start of a new busy schedule...along with more challenges. Please pray that I would have the strength, patience, and a continuing interest to learn as I begin my classes. If you would also be in prayer for my safety as I endeavor to travel the metro alone, I would really appreciate it! I hope that each and every one of you are doing well and that God has been working in your life as He has mine. May your life bless Him.
Good night from Santiago, Chile, S. A.
Praying for you Kathlyn! Sounds like you are having some great new experiences. Thanks for the updates as well. :) Love ya!
