It´s like America but it´s South

South America... yes, it is like North America.
You may disagree but I have come to see it very similar to any large city in the states.  The people I see walking along the streets are very similar to those you can see in New York City...lost, in need of Love, and searching (it can be very obvious).  I am not quite sure how to put it...but I will type it like I see.  Don't think that I am condemning all of you who may have tattoos, random piercings, odd hair color, smoke, dress suggestively, etc.  My point is that, here, in South America just like North Americans, people are lost and in need of affirmation.  This 'feeling of belonging' they have obtained by trying to fit in with the crowd.  Their true longings can never be satisfied by this worldly solution...they MUST know Him.  He is the only answer.

So what should our response be to this...? It is sad to see...but just mourning for those lost souls will not bring them to the salvation they need so desperately.  We as believers should, out of concern for their eternal well-being, be in PRAYER constantly for those who are walking around in darkness.  Prayer should be our foundation but should we stop there?  By all means NO!

'Easy' the 'Lowes' type company here in Chile.
Speaking in terms of building projects/remodeling ... you cannot expect the building to be miraculously transformed from an unusable ugly building into a building that is both gorgeous and meets the needs of the ones who wish to dwell in it.  The first step is to buy the proper materials... then use them as required to accomplish the desired finished product.  Where do you find these materials?  The warehouse.    What does this all mean in relation to winning lost souls?  Well, those people, just like you and me, can and should be used to further His kingdom, bring Him glory, etc.  But in their current condition they are useless and empty...there must be a transformation of their lives in order to accomplish this.  How?  The heavenly warehouse has exactly what we need...  We are given the Words of God to live by and His master plan to go buy in reaching out to others in need.  Prayer is just one of the 'tools' we are given to minister to those people.  So don't forget to use it!!

I have been learning so much since coming to Chile...  One thing is patience.  It has been hard at times but definitely worth the struggle.  I wished to share some of the beauty I have seen here in Santiago...and it made me think of the scripture below.  It is a wonderful reminder that God has a plan in everything...He sustains us and even when we have a hard time trusting we should look at creation and remember the creator who tends it as well as takes care of us all.

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?  28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."  ~ Matthew 6:25-34  NIV
I hope that you all are having a wonderful week.  I am!!

Saludos desde Chile!!
